Tips of the Week #9

Streamline Tenant Communication with Rentvine’s Latest Text Messaging Features

Effective communication is at the heart of successful property management—and at Rentvine, we’re constantly improving tools to help property managers stay ahead. In this week’s Rentvine Academy video, we walk through powerful updates to our text messaging features, including:

  • Viewing and replying to tenant messages in real time

  • Sending attachments via text

  • Using existing email templates for SMS

  • Mass texting tenants and co-signers directly from the system

Whether you're managing dozens of units or hundreds, these updates are designed to make your workflow faster, smarter, and more flexible.

What’s New in Rentvine Text Messaging

1. File Attachments via Text

You can now attach files to outgoing text messages within Rentvine. Simply navigate to the Messages section under Contacts or go to any individual lease, and upload your file before sending the message. This means lease agreements, notices, or any relevant documents can be texted directly—no more switching between systems.

2. Use Email Templates in Text Messages

While there isn’t a separate "text message template" section in settings, your existing email templates are now compatible with text messages. You can still use hot fields (like tenant name, lease dates, etc.) and choose whether the message is notification-only or allows replies.

3. Mass Text Messaging

Need to notify all tenants or co-signers about a maintenance update or policy change? Rentvine now allows mass texting, giving you the option to send messages to all relevant contacts at once—saving you time and ensuring consistency.
