Create cleaner owner statements with Rentvine’s updated workflow

At Rentvine, we are always improving the tools property managers rely on to communicate clearly with owners.
In this week’s Rentvine Academy video, Sales Engineer Alex Cordoves walks through the updated Owner Statement UI, showing how the new experience helps teams identify issues before statements are generated and sent.

What’s new in owner statement management

1. Updated statement creation screen

When creating owner statements under Portfolios > Actions > Create Owner Statements, you will notice a refreshed interface. Core options such as statement period, start and end dates, filtering, and batch settings remain the same. However, the updated layout introduces new tools designed to surface potential issues earlier in the process.


2. New statement type logic tied to diagnostics

When using the Monthly Statement type, Rentvine now references your Diagnostics settings. This means the system checks for:

  • Balance mismatches

  • Reserve mismatches

  • Backdated gaps between statement periods

If any of these issues exist, Rentvine flags the portfolio before statements are created. This gives accounting teams time to resolve problems and avoid confusion for owners.


3. Identify portfolios that need attention

The portfolio selection screen has been fully redesigned. Property managers can now clearly see which owners need attention and why. This visibility helps prevent publishing statements that contain errors or incomplete data.

By addressing these issues first, teams can significantly reduce owner calls and follow ups related to inaccurate statements.


4. Filter by payment status

The new Was Paid filter allows you to confirm whether owners were already paid through the Pay Owner screen before generating statements. Rentvine recommends paying owners first and then creating statements. This filter helps ensure that statements reflect accurate distribution information.


5. Faster creation for ready portfolios

Once issues are resolved, you can filter by Ready to Create, select the applicable owners, and generate statements in just a few clicks. The confirmation process is streamlined, making it faster to publish statements directly to owner portals.
