Three things this week, and the last one is a preview of where we’re headed. You can now limit bill approval to the person a bill is assigned to. Applicants who skip Plaid income verification have to tell you why. And there’s a new Activity Feed in Settings that shows what the Rentvine MCP has done in your account.
Enhancements
Only the assignee can approve a bill. Anyone with approval permission could approve any bill, even one assigned to somebody else. So a bill could get approved before the person it was assigned to ever looked at it. There’s a new setting in Settings → Accounting called Restrict Bill Approval to Assignee. Turn it on and only the person a bill is assigned to can approve it. It’s off by default, so nothing changes until you turn it on. Use it with your master approver threshold, and you have two separate controls over who signs off.
Know why an applicant skipped Plaid. An application would come in marked verified manually, and you couldn’t tell whether the applicant tried Plaid and couldn’t connect or just didn’t want to. Now, when an applicant chooses Verify Manually on income verification, they have to pick a reason first. That reason shows on the application, so you can judge it on the facts.
See what the Rentvine MCP did in your account. There’s a new Activity Feed in Settings. It shows what the Rentvine MCP created or changed in your account, and when. Each entry links to the record it touched. As we ship more agents, their activity will show up here too.
As always, these updates come from feedback and needs you’ve shared with us. If you have thoughts on what would make Rentvine work better for your team, we’re listening.
