Week 40 | What's New in Rentvine: Vendor Quick Links, Multiple Estimates per Vendor, and Owner Leads for Every Account

This week's theme is less waiting on somebody else. Your vendors can now act on a work order without an account, they can send you as many estimates as a job actually needs, and the owners you've been tracking in your inbox now live in one list with the rest of your pipeline.

Vendors get a Quick Link in their assignment text and email, so they can accept, decline, ask for a different window, add photos, message you, or send an estimate in one tap, with no sign-up or password. Estimates are no longer limited to one per vendor, so changing the scope of a repair doesn't mean starting over.

On the growth side, Owner Leads are now on for every account, giving you a single place to manage every owner you're courting from first contact through onboarding. Watch the walkthrough in This Week in Rentvine 09.25. Here's everything that shipped:

Enhancements

  • Your vendor can act on the work order without logging in. About half of vendors never log into a portal; they'd rather call, so the job sits waiting on them long after they've already said yes. Now the assignment text and email carry a Quick Link. One tap and your vendor is on that work order: accept, decline, ask for a different window, add photos, message you back, or send an estimate. No signup, no password, one message instead of two. Their response lands on the Activity tab under their own name with a timestamp, so the work order moves instead of stalling, and you have the record either way.

  • Get as many estimates as the job needs. Negotiating a repair used to cost you a round trip. One estimate per vendor meant that changing the scope (repair instead of replace, a cheaper part) left you deleting the original and asking the vendor to start over. Now they can send as many as the job needs, and each one is its own record with its own amount and comments. They can also start an estimate straight from the work order without waiting on a request from you, so it's often waiting when you get back to it. Approve the one you want; the rest stay on the record.

  • Every owner you're chasing, in one list. Owner Leads are now on for every account. The owners you're courting have been living in your inbox and a spreadsheet, with who followed up, where the lead came from, and what stage it's at all in somebody's head. Now every lead sits in one list with an owner and a source, and moves through stages from first contact to onboarding to approved. Open a lead and you have their properties, their paperwork, and their onboarding forms in the same place, so nothing about a new owner depends on one person remembering.
