Managing Rentvine Tenant Portal Access and Invitations
The Rentvine tenant portal provides tenants with access to their lease information, payment options, and other property-related details. This guide outlines how tenants and property managers can manage portal access, resolve common issues, and troubleshoot invitation-related problems.
Accepting Portal Invitations
To access the Rentvine tenant portal, tenants must accept an invitation sent to their email. Follow these steps:
Locate the Invitation Email: Find the most recent portal invitation email in your inbox. If you cannot find it, check your spam or junk folder.
Accept the Invitation: Click the "Accept Invite" button in the email. If prompted, either register a new account or sign in with existing credentials.
Existing Accounts: If you already have a Rentvine account, select "Sign In" at the bottom of the registration page and log in with your existing email and password.
Troubleshooting Login Issues
If you encounter issues accessing the portal, try the following:
Expired Invitation Links: Delete the expired invitation and resend a new one. Property managers can do this by locating the invite in the lease or tenant contact, clicking the three-dot menu, and selecting "Delete."
Password Errors: Ensure you are signing in with the correct credentials. If you already have an account, do not create a new one. Instead, log in and accept the invitation.
Old Lease Displayed: Use the lease switcher in the portal to select the correct lease associated with the new invitation by clicking on your name in the bottom left of your tenant portal and selecting "Swich Leases".
Direct Portal Access: If invite emails are not working, use the direct resident portal URL provided by your property manager. Clear your browser cache and cookies, and use Google Chrome for the best experience.
Managing Portal Invitations
Repeated or pending invitations can cause confusion. Here’s how to manage them:
Stopping Repeated Emails: Property managers should delete any active or pending invitations associated with the tenant’s email. This prevents the system from resending invitations.
Changing Email Addresses: To grant access using a new email, send a new invitation to the updated email address. The tenant must complete registration using the new email.
Resolving Email Delivery Problems
If tenants are not receiving invitation emails:
Check Email Storage: Ensure the recipient’s email inbox has sufficient storage. If the inbox is full, free up space or use a different email address.
Verify Email Address: Confirm that the invitation was sent to the correct email address on file.
Special Cases
Vendor Access: Vendors with existing accounts should log in with their credentials once they have accepted the new invitation to link their account.
Impersonating Tenant View: Property managers can view a tenant’s portal by selecting "View Portal" in the tenant’s lease. This helps verify information and troubleshoot issues.
By following these steps, tenants and property managers can effectively manage portal access, resolve common issues, and ensure a seamless experience with the Rentvine tenant portal.
